The Comfort Inn Parnell Square is located north of Dublin city centre, on the opposite side of O' Connell Street to the river. It's situated on a street called Great Denmark Street, which is just off the well-known Parnell Square in the Dublin 1 district.
When walking from O' Connell Street, walk past the Garden of Remembrance. Take the next right onto Gardener Row. This street leads onto Great Denmark Street, where the hotel is located (Look for the blue 'Comfort Inn' sign on the right hand side as the hotels exterior is bit narrow so you could easily miss it).
Busaras is the city's main bus station, with connections to all parts of Ireland. It's located opposite Connelly Rail Station roughly a 20-minute walk from the Comfort Inn Parnell Square. The Red LUAS Line connecting Connelly Station and Tallaght, runs through Abbey Street. Get off at the Abbey Street stop. Abbey Street runs perpendicular to O'Connell Street, so once you're on O' Connell Street walk north away from the river and the follow the directions to the hotel, which we have provided in the 'Location' section above.
Rail Connection: Heuston Intercity Railway Station serves the south and west of Ireland. From this station, take any of the buses into the city centre such as the number 90. Get off at O'Connell Bridge and walk down to the end of O'Connell Street (opposite end from the river). From here follow directions in our 'Location' section.
From Hueston Station, you also have the option of getting the LUAS (Tram) into the city. Just take the red line in the direction of Connelly Station and get off at the Abbey Street stop, then follow directions to the hotel in the 'Location' section above.
Connolly Intercity Railway Station serves the north and west of Ireland. It's about a 20-25 minute walk to the hotel by walking down Abbey Street until you come to O' Connell Street then follow directions above.
By Bus from the airport, the blue Air Coach bus service departs every 15 minutes from outside the airport terminal building. A one-way ticket for this bus costs about EUR7.00 and return EUR12.00. It will take you as far as O'Connell Street, outside the Gresham Hotel. The hotel is around a 10-minute walk from here. When you get off the bus, walk north to the end of O'Connell Street, cross Parnell Street onto North Frederick Street. About three quarters of the way down this street you will meet Gardener Row on the right. This street leads onto Great Denmark Street, where the hotel is located.
Another good option is the 16a bus from the airport, which will drop you off at Parnell Square West. When you get off the bus just walk around to the east side of the square and walk down Gardner Row until you see the hotel on your right. This bus trip costs about EUR1.60 and it's perfect if you are travelling light.
The Garden of Remembrance is in memory of those who lost their lives in the fight for Irish freedom. It's the closest attraction to the hotel and is located at Parnell Square East, Dublin 1.
The Hugh Lane Gallery is Dublins museum of modern and contemporary art and it's located at Charlemont House in Parnell Square North, quite close to the hotel.
Dublin Writer’s Museum is also located within a few steps of the hotel at number 18 Parnell Square, Dublin 1.

And if you don't feel like walking, jump on the Dublin 'Hop-on Hop-off' bus tour which starts and ends at 59 Upper O' Connell Street. This is one of the best ways to see the city and the ticket is valid for 24 hours.
Make your way to O' Connell Street, which is regarded as Europe's widest street and see a whole host of attractions like the G.P.O whose pillars bear the marks of the 1916 Rising, the Parnell Monument at one end, the O'Connell Monument in the other and in the middle Dublin's newest attraction - The Spire.

The main shopping districts in Dublin city can be found both north and south of the River Liffey. The nearest to the hotel is Henry Street, it's about a 10 minute walk from the hotel and you'll recognise it as the pedestrian street about half way down O' Connell Street on the right hand side. Henry Street is lined with shops and it's also home to the Illac and Jervis Shopping Centres.
On the south side of the river is the famous shopping area of Grafton Street. This is also a pedestrians street where you'll find a host of high-street shops and the Brown Thomas department store. At the top of Grafton Street you'll find the impressive St. Stephens Green Shopping Centre.
The National Concert Hall is located on Earlsfort Terrace in Dublin 2. From O'Connell Street head south over the River Liffey, down Westmoreland Street, past Trinity College onto Nassau Street. If you're in Dublin for a big game, then you're more than likely going to be heading to either Croke Park or Landsdowne Road. These stadiums have also been the venue for some big concerts in recent years.

The Comfort Inn Parnell Square has a total of 92 guestrooms, which consist of double, twin, single or triple rooms and are situated in the three bedroom wings of the hotel; The Rutland Wing, The Parnell Wing and The Belvedere Wing.
The Rutland Wing is the newest and most modern of the three wings as it was recently renovated. Its 20 guestrooms are large and spacious and feature rich red and brown fabrics on the beds which contrast nicely with the dark blue carpet and cream walls. The beautiful cherry wood furnishings include a long dressing table with a large mirror, a luggage rack, a large wardrobe, a full-length mirror, a small table and two chairs.
Facilities that come as standard in the guestrooms include tea/coffee-making facilities, satellite TV, direct dial phone, a hair dryer, central heating and free broadband internet access. Room service is available during lunch and evening dining times with a tray charge of around EUR5.00. There is also a safe in each room with a charge of about EUR1.80 per night.
The guestrooms on the Belvedere Wing are larger, quieter and even though they are older (in the Georgian part of the building), they are cosy and clean. They have all the facilities of the other wings but with ISDN internet access (chargeable). While the rooms on this wing are more spacious, the en-suites are smaller but are spotless and perfectly functional.
The Parnell Wing has 34 guestrooms and is similar in style, décor and facilities to the Rutland Wing but is a little older. If you are a light sleeper then this wing is not for you, as it overlooks Great Denmark Street, which can be noisy at night. The hotel also has four rooms for disability access with a combined bath and shower unit in the en-suite. There's an ironing room for guest use in the Belvedere Wing on the first floor. You'll find two irons with boards here.
The Comfort Inn Parnell Square doesn't have leisure/fitness facilities but the hotel's staff will gladly advise you on local facilities and can give you directions if needed.
