Each room and suite has been individually designed to provide accommodation that is simple, elegant and refined. Twin rooms are available but the majority of rooms have super king-size double beds.

No two rooms or suites are alike and are decorated in one of the hotel's five signature colours: crimson, royal blue, amethyst, gold and chocolate. Shaker-style furniture, specially crafted beds with Egyptian linens and spacious white tiled bathrooms with pedestal sinks and oak cabinets

Featuring an octagon-shaped dome, The Octagon Bar is owned by Bono and The Edge from rock group U2 and is a place they would choose to drink in when in Dublin. It has remained a favourite Dublin watering hole throughout the hotel's history, filling up with its eclectic mix of residents and locals.

The Octagon Bar is a popular meeting place that is available for lunches, pre-dinner drinks, informal cocktail receptions and dining.

The Clarence Hotel, Dublin is situated in the heart of Dublin city, in the residential West End of Dublin's famous cultural quarter TEMPLE BAR, on the southside of the RIVER LIFFEY on Wellington Quay.

Approximately 13 kms from Dublin Airport (a 30-45 min taxi ride from Dublin Airport) and 0.5 kms from Heuston Station (for trains to the rest of Ireland), 2kms from Connelly Station (for trains to Northern Ireland) and 4kms from Dublin Sea/Ferry Port  which is an easy direct run along the river to the hotel.

It lies within walking distance of some of Dublin's greatest landmarks, including  the Ha'Penny Bridge, Trinity College, Christchurch, Guinness Storehouse,  Jameson Whiskey Tower and Temple Bar district. Business areas such as Stephen's Green is within 15 mins walk and the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) is within a 20 mins walk along the River Liffey or a short taxi ride away.

The hotel is opposite Dublin's new Italian Quarter on the northside of the river linked by the Millennium Walkway Bridge, within walking distance of the 'Four Courts' and 'Blackhall Place' law districts.
