Opened in 1983, before the great transition of the Temple Bar area, the Bad Ass Cafe continues to thrive and remains an unusual, entertaining and informal place to eat.

Students, Families, Business people from the area and over the years, an increasing volume of tourists are all catered for with special tourist, student and kids menus at very affordable prices.

Seating 85 people with a waiting area upstairs and a full bar license, there is no need to book for small groups, however booking for large parties is advisable. Teeshirts, sweat shirts and baseball caps are available for sale at the Cafe.

The Bad Ass Cafe is as good as ever. The burgers are amongst the best in Town and the old cash delivery system, which whizzes along on overhead wires, is a fascinating feature. Kids are actively encouraged to dine here.
