EFL Ireland is a small and friendly English language school. Our specialty is our summertime GLOBAL VILLAGE junior courses & 3, 4, 5 & 6 to 1 Adult courses. We can also organize tours around Ireland with an English teacher as your tour-guide. Our highly qualified and internationally experienced EFL trainers use modern teaching methods and up-to-date learning aids and materials, emphasizing conversation skills to develop true lingua franca skills with an international focus.

EFL Ireland began in 2006 hosting junior students in Waterford and were accredited by the Irish Department of Education that same year. We joined MEI RELSA (the professional organization or Recognized English Language Schools in Ireland) in 2007. EFL Ireland has gone from strength to strength constantly improving our courses and marketing abroad to attract a good international mix of students.

We are based in Waterford, Ireland's oldest city, on the coast of Ireland’s Sunny South East, the warmest and sunniest part of a normally rainy country and we are surrounded by natural beauty and a dramatic coastline.

Waterford  is Ireland’s oldest city and was founded by Vikings in the ninth century. The history of this ancient seaport is maintained in its many remarkable buildings, ancient city walls and notably, Reginald’s Tower which has been guarding the entrance to the port for over 1000 years. Waterford is a very interesting  place to study with many great traditional pubs, all kinds of restaurants, traditional and modern music venues,  movie cinemas and stage performances.
