I have studied singing for the past nine years with Olive Cowpar, a highly reputable singing teacher in Limerick City.

I am the recipient of many coveted prizes in Féile Luimní, Limerick and Feis Maitiú, Cork, including "Overall Voice of the Feis" in Cork 2002 and "Voice of the Féile" in Limerick 2002 and 2003. This year I won the highly regarded McDonagh Recital Bursary for the third year running. Other prizes won over the years included first prizes in the Lieder, Operatic, Interpretation and Operetta competitions. You can read an article written about me in the Limerick Leader.

This year in Feis Ceoil in Dublin I won the Dermot Troy Cup for Oratorio, along with the Contralto Solo and the Margaret Burke Sheridan Cup for best female voice.

I am a member of the acclaimed Limerick Choral Union, which has performed many concerts under the conductor, Malcom Green. In December 2004 I performed as a soloist with the choir in Beethoven's Mass in C in the University Concert Hall. In December 2005 I performed as a soloist in Handel's Messiah. I am also a member of St. Johns Cathedral choir and I sing for them as a soloist on a regular basis.
