Mary Pickering was born in Dublin Ireland. She has painted for the last thirty years mastering many mediums, (Oils, pastels, water-colours) before progressing to Acrylic.

Mary began her career working at hand painting silk and lace clothes and has developed her own unique style working from the representational to the contemporary works of the day.

Her technique and style is highly personal, she uses colour and shape to create a sense of movement which is a hallmark o many of her works. Her paintings are usually busy with people and full of movement The bend of traditional subject and modern vibrant colours has made Mary’s work much sought after and commented upon.
