After graduating from Limerick School of Art & Design with 1st class degree honours in Fashion Design, Liam Grier did a one year postgraduate course in industrial knitwear & business skills aimed at starting up a business.

He completed this in October 1998 and the day after, the liam grier label was set up. Liam Grier remained in Limerick city manufacturing his unique designs for select boutiques in Ireland as well as doing free-lance work for Irish knitwear companies.

He returned to his native Donegal in 2002 and set up a design studio in Ramelton, Co. Donegal on 2nd August 2002. Incorporating a shop with a design studio Liam Grier now stocks a large range of labels from some of Ireland's new up and coming designers as well as others from the US, Cape Town and Sydney.
