We appreciate that each school requires individual attention and to facilitate with this we offer a personalised service for every customer.

Assistance is given in relation to the complete design of the uniform including colour, style, strips, crest, etc

A back-up service is also offered throughout the year.

Our family has been in the uniform business since the late 1800's, when my great-grandfather Thomas Pender started in the business as an apprentice military tailor.

my grandfather Richard Pender followed him into the business and he opened the first shop in 1922 at 3 Manor Street. The business expanded and my grandmother Mary B. Pender opened a children’s clothing, school uniform and haberdashery shop at 4 Manor Street in late 1922.

In the 1950’s my mother Agnes Grant (neé Pender) worked in the shop. In 1965 she and my father (Tom Grant) opened a new shop at 7 Manor Street trading in children’s clothing, school uniforms and haberdashery. We have been trading here since and have expanded our school uniform business every year. I started working here fulltime in 1983.
